The children’s ministry at CCB is Bible-based, Christ-centred and gospel-focused.
Our commitment is that week-by-week we will faithfully support CCB’s families by teaching our children to love and obey Jesus Christ, through the sound teaching of the Bible, and through our godly examples.
We are also committed to praying that God will give every child at CCB new life in Christ – in his good time, and for his great glory.
Children’s ministry at CCB is centred on teaching the Bible to our children in age-appropriate ways, in small-group contexts, during the Sunday meeting.
We have a core team of faithful teachers and teaching assistants who love Jesus, who love the children, are committed to their own growth in godliness, and who believe that the Bible is God’s authoritative Word to all people. With Paul, we believe that the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe, no matter how young…
We meet together as a congregation at 9:00am, after which the children leave the main meeting and gather together in a separate venue for prayer and singing. We then split into appropriate age groups for Bible teaching.
We use the new TNT Bible teaching curriculum (Mustard Seeds). It is our aim, prayer and hope that each child comes to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour through faithful Bible teaching and our godly examples on a Sunday and at home during the week.
The Youth Clubs meet in local homes and include Bible teaching along with the usual fun and games.
We ask that sick children not attend K4C in order to ensure the health of children and teachers. We recommend that your child should not leave home with any of the following:
Volunteers are key to ensuring that K4C is always able to accept everyone who shows up on a Sunday morning. Whatever your gift, interest, or availability, we can find a spot for you. We are looking for people who want to make K4C the BEST hour of a child’s week. If you trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, and are interest in helping out, we want and need your help.
Areas of involvement include
K4C strives to provide an extremely fun, yet safe classroom environment for our children. We have a first aid box on site and you will be called out of the service should your child need more attention than a plaster.
Children who are new to K4C need to be registered. Registration forms are available here.
Parents or guardians are to understand and accept that all transportation and activities relating to K4C and Youth Club are undertaken at their children’s own risk, and are therefore required to indemnify Christ Church Blaauwberg and its staff and volunteers against any claims which may arise in connection with the loss of property or of injury to their child/ren, in the knowledge that CCB staff and volunteers will nevertheless take all responsible precautions for the safety and welfare of their child/ren. Indemnity forms are available here.
